The food here reminds me of the old Diner's Drive Inn food. I love the food from here as they have many good choices to choose from. Plus, they add new food choices every now and then. The service is fast and friendly. The ambiance is casual inside as I ate there once. I always use the drive thru as it's the fastest way to get your food when you are on the road and in a rush for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The prices is really reasonable and they give a lot of food. If they have something new on the menu and the picture looks good. I will try it.

Nice local business to support!! Orange Bang is also much cheaper here than at Zippy's ;)

Richie's Drive Inn is a historic restaurant in the Kalihi area of Honolulu. Been in service since the 1980's and known for their affordable prices and food selection. I've personally gone to Richie's throughout the years and enjoyed myself each time. I've tried different plate lunch options such as Chili and Boneless Chicken, Pork Chop Loco Moco, Mushroom Chicken, and French fries. One of the few places that serves Green River slushies. All are excellent choices. The dine-in experience is great, as it's a place to order/eat without anyone bothering you. If you're a fan of an old school (1980's/1990's) diner experience, with a crane claw machine, I recommend Richie's. And it was announced that they recently brought back the 1980's original brown gravy and Mac Salad. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Give them a try!

Richie's Drive Inn is an absolute gem for plate lunches! The food is consistently *ono*, and I've never had a bad meal here. Their menu has a great variety, including Filipino favorites like the pork adobo, which was tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The plate lunches are the real star--fried pork, chicken, and beef stew are all cooked perfectly, and the gravy they serve is rich and comforting. Their mac salad deserves a special mention too--creamy, flavorful, and the perfect companion to the mains. What sets Richie's apart for me is its authenticity and local vibe. It's a spot frequented by locals, and I'd even say it's better than Rainbow Drive-In. If you're in the mood for hearty, satisfying comfort food, Richie's is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Bang for your bucks. They make good food and it's affordable. This place is a hidden gem.

What can I say about Richie's Drive located on King St. Right across from American T-shirt company. I believe this the only drive thru plate lunch place for convenience. I ordered their famous Boneless chicken with gravy . Can't go wrong with the Boneless chicken although looks like the portion got a little smaller lol. Back in the day the plate was fuller. They still have that old order board which you can hardly hear the order taker it's all muffled. Also when they raised the prices they use painter tape for the new prices so ghetto . Ghetto or not it's still a go to place with a good selection plate lunches with price is not bad . Support local

Last night's dinner decision was Richie's in Kalihi. Had the boneless chicken, real chicken not like the one in Hilo , and the most Ono brown gravy. Yeah no rice and only Mac. Come on HS Cafe check this out. Soooo much QUALITY food for under $12.00. I had a nice talk with the owner and business is slower and but the most challenging issue is keeping his employees and that's even with the minimum wage. "They just don't want to work now days." Go and support local small business owners.

Well, I was heading back to the mainland and needed to eat something before going to the airport. Richie's was open and on my list to try. I have read varying reviews about it not being like "back in the day" but I had to try the boneless chicken. They had a two item combo for $11.99 which is a bargain right now. I ordered the boneless and shoyu. I should've just ordered double boneless because that gravy was soooooo good! The woman working behind the counter was cheerful and friendly and I was one of two people eating inside. I really liked what I ordered and should've told them for "gravy on rice." The mac was good too! This is my first time experience and I do wish I would've came when the original owners were there. But for myself, this really hit the spot and was tasty! Mahalo Richie!
